You wake up on a Friday morning in bed and you notice the sound of rain. Your eyes open rapidly and take a quick glance outside to validate whether what your ears heard was correct or not. Instead of feeling awake and motivated to commence a proactive day, you become sluggish and lazy not wanting to do a single thing but lay in bed all day. A proactive day for you soon becomes ordering pizza while watching Hulu on your laptop throughout the day and taking a few power naps from heavy sedations administered by food comas.
What is it about a rainy day that makes you feel so lifeless. I have a few theories about the cause of our fatigue. One, maybe the gloomy atmosphere has something to do with out bodies feeling so inert. Two, the weariness in people is only caused from fear of the menacing drivers out on the streets. Three, the most powerful influences in the media have somehow put discrete acids in the precipitation that release a chemical in to the air after hitting the ground. This chemical when inhaled by humans causes a drowsiness which over takes their minds and allows for producers to generate revenue by the consumers need to purchase items that keep boredom away- food, movies, board games, ect.
